Water iron removers – Crystal clear well water without rust or odor

Water from your own source offers great independence, but often poses a significant problem. If your water straight from the well is cloudy, turns yellow after a short time, leaves reddish stains on the bathtub, and also smells like iron or rotten eggs (hydrogen sulfide) – you need a water iron remover. In this category, we have gathered powerful and reliable treatment stations from market leaders: Supreme, Klarwod, and the premium brand Ecowater. These are devices that will save your plumbing, household appliances, and health, restoring crystal clarity to your water.

Why is iron in water so harmful?

Excessive levels of iron and manganese are not just a matter of an unpleasant, metallic taste in your tea. They are the silent killers of your home. Precipitating iron clogs pipes, damages pump impellers, ruins washing machines and dishwashers, and permanently stains expensive bathroom fixtures. An ordinary inline filter cannot handle this – you need a specialized station that will oxidize the iron and trap it on a special media bed.

Choose equipment from proven manufacturers

Treating well water is a difficult task, which is why we only rely on proven solutions:
✔ Klarwod: Polish reliability. Rugged, dependable devices ideal for difficult water and installations where simplicity and low maintenance costs are key.
✔ Supreme: Excellent price-to-quality ratio. Devices equipped with modern heads and high-performance media beds (often also removing manganese and hydrogen sulfide).
✔ Ecowater: American Premium class. Highly advanced stations (often with a Wi-Fi module) that use minimal amounts of water for flushing and operate fully intelligently.

How does an iron remover work?

Most professional iron removers work on the principle of aeration and filtration. The media bed inside the tank (e.g., Birm, Greensand, or multifunctional media) acts as a catalyst. Iron dissolved in the water "rusts" upon contact with the media and oxygen – it turns into solid particles that get trapped inside the tank. Every few days, the control head (e.g., Clack or the proprietary Ecowater head) automatically flushes the bed, discharging the accumulated rust into the sewage system.

🛠️ Don't buy blindly – we will select the equipment for you!

Every well is different. The effectiveness of an iron remover depends on the level of iron, manganese, water pH, oxidizability, and the output of your submersible pump. Don't guess! Send us your water test results, and our specialists will select a device for free that will 100% solve your problem. We also provide professional water treatment station installation services across the country.

Frequently asked questions

  • A classic water softener (using ion-exchange resin) can remove only very small, trace amounts of iron. If you have well water where iron is visible (the water turns yellow), running it through a softener will cause permanent "clogging" and destruction of the resinin just a few months. An iron removal filter must be placed first (or a special multifunctional system must be used).

  • Yes, these stations usually operate in a dual capacity and are called iron and manganese removal units. Many specialized filter media (e.g., in Supreme or Ecowater brand models) also excel at removing manganese (responsible for black deposits) and reducing the unpleasant rotten egg odor (hydrogen sulfide).

  • To guarantee that the device will work, we need two things from you:

    1. Results of a physicochemical water analysis(from a sanitary inspection station or private laboratory) – the most important parameters are: iron, manganese, pH, oxidizability, and hardness.
    2. Information about the capacity of your well pump(an iron removal system requires a high water flow rate for nightly filter bed flushing).
  • What are your specialties?

  • Usually, it is a device in the form of a tall cylinder (column) with a control head, to which, in some cases, a brine or permanganate tank is attached. The device occupies on average between 0.5 m² and 1 m² of floor space in the boiler room. It is important to remember to provide access to a power outlet and a drain to the sewage system.
