Why install an under-sink filter?

The decision to install an under-sink filter is an investment that pays off quickly – both financially and in terms of health. Tap water, although meeting sanitary standards, often leaves much to be desired in terms of taste, smell, and hardness.

Here are the key benefits of having your own filtration system:

  • Health and safety: You remove harmful substances from the water, including microplastics, pesticides, rust from pipes, and microorganisms.
  • Better taste of food and drinks: Coffee, tea, or homemade soups prepared with filtered water release their full aroma.
  • Protection of home appliances: Soft water (without limescale) extends the life of kettles, coffee makers, and irons.
  • Ecology and Zero Waste lifestyle: By giving up bottled water, you reduce the amount of plastic discarded into the environment by hundreds of kilograms annually.

Types of filters in our offer: Reverse osmosis and nanofiltration

At CzystyStyl, we focus on proven and uncompromising technologies. The most popular choice of our customers is reverse osmosis (RO). This is currently the most accurate and safest filtration method available for households.

In our offer, in addition to classic models, you will also find modern tankless reverse osmosis filters (direct flow type). They produce water on an ongoing basis, without the need for storage. This is an ideal solution for smaller kitchens – the device is compact and takes up half as much space in the cabinet as traditional sets.

Tankless and tank RO filters
New generation RO filters

Regardless of the chosen model, the osmotic membrane forms an effective barrier against 99% of all contaminants. It removes from water:

  • Microplastics and mechanical sediments,
  • Heavy metals (lead, mercury, cadmium),
  • Bacteria and viruses,
  • Chlorine, pesticides, and limescale.

By choosing osmosis, you can be sure that the water you drink is crystal clear and completely safe even for small children.

For those looking for simpler solutions, we offer classic under-sink systems that act as sorption filters (based on nanofiltration or ultrafiltration). They are compact and effectively improve the taste and smell of water, removing chlorine and basic sediments.

However, it is worth remembering that these systems have their limitations and are not as effective as reverse osmosis. Sorption filters:

  • Do not soften water – if you have a problem with limescale in your kettle, this filter will not solve it.
  • Do not remove heavy metals or most microorganisms (viruses and bacteria). We recommend this solution only where tap water is already safe, soft, and of good quality, and the goal is only a "cosmetic" improvement of its taste qualities.

Water mineralization – health straight from nature

A common myth is that water after filtration is "sterile." At CzystyStyl, we ensure that water is not only clean but also valuable. Most of our under-sink filter kits are equipped with special mineralizing cartridges (mineralizers).

In the final stage of filtration, water flows through a natural dolomite bed, thanks to which it is again enriched with elements essential for health:

  • Magnesium – supports the nervous system and heart function.
  • Calcium – crucial for healthy bones and teeth. Thanks to this, you get water with parameters similar to high-quality spring water, available at any time in your own tap.

Importantly, our systems are flexible. Even if you initially choose a basic model without a mineralizer, you can purchase it separately and install it at any time. This gives you complete freedom to configure your filter and the possibility to expand it in the future.

Saving money – is it worth it?

An under-sink filter is a one-time expense that generates constant savings. A liter of filtered water costs only a few cents – including the cost of replacing cartridges and water consumption.

A simple calculation: a family of 4 spends an average of PLN 2000 to PLN 5000 per year on bottled water. The operating cost of a filter (cartridge replacement) is only a fraction of this amount. Investment in an under-sink system usually pays for itself in the first year of use.

Simple installation and convenient operation

Are you afraid of complicated installation? There's no need to be. Our kits are designed so that their installation is simple and intuitive. In the box, you will find all the necessary connections, hoses, and a modern spout.

Compact reverse osmosis filter installed in a cabinet under the sink

Under-sink filters take up little space and fit easily into a standard kitchen cabinet, even next to waste sorting bins. Replacing cartridges is quick and does not require calling a specialist – just do it once every 6 months to enjoy ideal water quality for years.

Prefer a ready-made solution? At CzystyStyl, you can order a professional installation service and periodic cartridge replacement. Our service technicians will ensure proper connection and maintenance of the device, and you save time and are sure of the system's ideal operation.

Frequently asked questions

  • It depends on your water quality.Reverse Osmosis (RO)is the most effective choice if you want to completely remove limescale (water hardness), viruses, and microplastics. It's ideal for kettles and coffee machines.Flow-through filters (carbon filters)are great if your water is soft and you only want to improve its taste and remove chlorine. However, remember that a flow-through filter won't protect your appliances from limescale as effectively as reverse osmosis.

  • To choose the perfect system for your kitchen, check out these 6 features:

    1. Membrane efficiency:Marked in GPD. The higher the GPD (e.g., 400-600 GPD), the faster the filter produces clean water.
    2. Required pressure:Check your system's pressure. Standard filters require a minimum of 2.8 bar. If yours is lower, be sure to choose a model with an electric pump.
    3. Water tank:Decide whether you prefer a traditional tank system (water supply) or a modern tankless system (direct-flow), which takes up less space and produces fresh water continuously.
    4. Dimensions:Measure the available space in the cabinet, including the drain trap and waste bin.
    5. Mineralization:Make sure the filter has a mineralizing cartridge that restores valuable minerals to the water and improves its taste.
    6. Additional amenities:It is worth paying attention to cartridge replacement indicators (reminders), smart taps with a water quality display, or a "slim" design that allows for installation in unusual places (e.g. under a cabinet).
  • Standard reverse osmosis systems with a tank operate using mains water pressure (minimum 2.8-3 bar required). Electrical connection is only necessary in two cases: if you choose a modern tankless (direct-flow) filter with a pump, or if you have very low water pressure in your home and need to use a booster pump.

  • Replacement is simple and doesn't require a service call. The schedule is as follows:

    • Pre-inserts (foam, carbon):every 3-6 months.
    • Mineralizer / Final Carbon Insert:every 6-12 months.
    • Osmotic membrane:approximately every 18-24 months.
Many of our filters have a "Twist & Click" system or quick-connect fittings, so replacing the cartridge takes literally 2 minutes.
  • Less than you think. Modern filters are designed to fit in a standard kitchen cabinet (60 cm), even next to the trash can.

    • Systems with tank:They need a rectangular space of approximately 30x40 cm.
    • Tankless systems (Direct Flow):They are very narrow (approx. 10-15 cm) and take up as much space as an office binder.
    • Slim models:Some of the latest systems are so flat they can be mountedunder furniture (in the kitchen plinth)or lay it flat on the bottom of the cabinet. This solution saves you virtually no valuable space inside the cabinet.
  • Yes,the assembly is fully reversible. It only requires connecting to the cold water valve (T-piece included) and possibly drilling a hole for the spout in the countertop (or replacing the tap with a three-way one).avoid drilling a hole in the countertop, you can buy from uskitchen tap with filter connection(three-way faucet). You install it in place of your existing faucet. When you move out, simply take the filter and your faucet with you and replace it with your owner's old faucet. This way, you won't leave any permanent marks in your kitchen.
