Aquaphor K1 – 2-in-1 pre-filter cartridge for Aquaphor reverse osmosis systems

The original Aquaphor K1 cartridge is the first stage of purification in Aquaphor under-sink reverse osmosis systems, including the RO-202S. In a single housing, it combines two filtration zones: mechanical, which stops sand, rust, and other insoluble particles, and sorption, which binds active chlorine and some dissolved contaminants.

The cartridge effectively removes iron oxides and active chlorine, which are the substances most harmful to the osmotic membrane. Chlorine destroys its structure, while sediment and rust clog the pores. Therefore, the condition of the K1 cartridge directly affects how long and efficiently the membrane and the entire system will operate.

The sorption part of the cartridge uses Aquaphor's patented Aqualen™ fiber, which permanently binds organic contaminants and heavy metals and does not release them back into the water. The cartridge is installed quickly, without tools, in place of the used module.

Operating conditions: cold tap water, temperature 5–38°C, pressure up to 6.3 bar.

Recommended replacement frequency: every 3–6 months.
