UV germicidal lamp TMA D16 – Industrial water sterilization efficiency

The TMA D16 lamp is by far the largest and most powerful water sterilizer in the D series from a renowned Polish manufacturer. The device has been designed for uncompromising operation under the heaviest loads, offering a gigantic nominal flow rate of up to 12.0 m³/h (at a recommended radiation dose of 400 J/m²). Such throughput classifies this model as an ideal solution for commercial and industrial facilities: large hotels, housing estates, hospitals, production plants, and agriculture. It provides reliable protection for main water intakes and powerful deep wells against any risk of microbiological contamination.

The sterilizer's mechanism is based on continuously irradiating flowing water with a powerful dose of UV-C ultraviolet radiation. This technology physically damages the DNA of pathogens, guaranteeing up to 99.9% effectiveness in eliminating dangerous bacteria (including E. coli, Legionella), viruses, and fungi. Crucially for technological processes and gastronomy, this is eco-friendly disinfection without the use of chemicals (such as aggressive chlorine). As a result, the water is sterile clean but does not change its natural taste, smell, or physicochemical composition in any way.

The high effectiveness of the D16 model is due to top-class UV emitters, whose impressive lifespan reaches 16,000 hours (almost 22 months of continuous operation). The massive, corrosion-resistant acid-resistant steel body (304L) easily withstands pressure of 10 bar, guaranteeing full hydraulic safety for large installations. The device has been designed for quick service maintenance without the need for specialized tools and has a current PZH certificate (National Institute of Hygiene).
