UV Emitter for TMA D8, D8-S, D10, D12 Lamps
The UV emitter is the most important part of a germicidal lamp – it is designed for TMA D8, TMA D8-S, TMA D10, and TMA D12 UV water lamps and operates at 42 W. It emits germicidal UV light, which irradiates water flowing through the device inside a sealed, quartz protective sleeve.
Thanks to the action of UV radiation, water is effectively purified of bacteria and viruses – the emitter neutralizes 99.99% of microorganisms present in the water, eliminating the need for carcinogenic sodium hypochlorite. This is one of the most effective water disinfection methods used in domestic installations.
The manufacturer recommends replacing the emitter every 16,000 hours of operation, which corresponds to approximately 22 months of regular use. It is worth remembering that each disconnection of the UV lamp from the power supply shortens the emitter's lifespan by about 10–20 hours, so it is recommended to limit frequent switching on and off of the device.
The emitter has a length of 84.7 cm (85.5 cm with pins) and a diameter of 1.7 cm, and its base is terminated with a 4-pin single-ended connector, suitable only for TMA D-series lamps. With each replacement, it is also worth cleaning the protective sleeve, as even small glass impurities weaken the effectiveness of UV radiation.
