The Philips Nira AWP9812/10 (Nira Large version) is the largest model in the innovative 3000 series, designed for larger households of 5 to 8 people. The device features a powerful bed with 25 liters of ion-exchange resin, ensuring an excellent nominal operating flow rate of 2.0 m³/h, with a maximum flow rate of 2.5 m³/h. The sleek and modern casing, measuring 1130 mm in height, 355 mm in width, and 505 mm in depth, can hold up to 55 kg of tablet salt, effectively protecting the entire household plumbing system and appliances from the damaging effects of limescale.
The AWP9812/10 model utilizes a highly efficient Dual-Flow distributor, which, thanks to its two-channel design, provides up to 10% more effective water softening compared to standard systems. The groundbreaking dry brine tank technology ensures that water enters the tank only just before resin regeneration, completely preventing crystallization, the formation of "salt bridges," and valve clogging. The system saves users money through economical counter-current regeneration based on time and flow – the process takes 77 minutes and consumes approximately 2.4 kg of salt and 124-140 liters of water. The device is extremely easy to manage using a clear, 2.5-inch touch-sensitive LCD display, which offers, among other features, visual and audible salt shortage alarms and a holiday mode.
