Cintropur NW18 Filter – Compact Water Protection for Apartments or Small Homes
The Cintropur NW18 filter is the smallest model in the family of pre-filters from the
Belgian brand Cintropur, designed for apartments and small single-family homes.
It is installed on the water supply line to the building, thereby protecting the installation
and connected devices – such as softeners, UV lamps, or osmosis systems – from sand, rust,
and other mechanical impurities.
The filter operates on the principle of centrifugal force: a built-in impeller sets the
water in a swirling motion, causing larger impurity particles to fall to the bottom of the
transparent bowl instead of immediately blocking the filter cartridge. This mechanism
allows for high flow rates and minimal pressure drops even with a partially
clogged cartridge.
The NW18 filter provides a flow rate of up to 3.5 m³/h with a filter surface area of
190 cm² and a maximum operating pressure of 16 bar. The 3/4" threaded
connection facilitates installation in typical home plumbing systems. Cartridges are available with
filtration ratings of 5, 10, 25, 50, and 100 microns, allowing customization of
filtration to water quality and individual needs.
Due to its compact size, the NW18 model is primarily suitable as a filter for a single point of
water usage or in smaller installations where space-saving is important while maintaining high filtration efficiency.
Compact dimensions. Its low height and width mean the filter can be installed even in tight utility rooms or under a sink, where larger models would not fit.
High flow rate with small dimensions.Despite its compact design, the device provides a flow rate of up to 3.5 m³/h, which is perfectly sufficient for a home or a single water draw-off point without a noticeable drop in pressure.
Centrifugal spinner. The swirling motion of water inside the filter causes larger impurities to settle at the bottom of the bowl before reaching the filter cartridge – this means the cartridge clogs slower and lasts longer.
Transparent bowl.Allows for continuous assessment of the cartridge's contamination level without disassembling the filter, so you know immediately when it's time for cleaning or replacement.
Wide range of filtration accuracies (5–100 microns).Ability to choose the cartridge for specific needs – from very fine filtration of small impurities to rough purification of water from larger sediments.
High pressure resistance – up to 16 bar.The robust construction allows for safe operation even in installations with increased water pressure, which enhances the filter's versatility.
Low operating cost. The only cost of use is replaceable filter cartridges available in sets of 5 – the filter itself requires no additional outlays.
Ability to combine filters. If necessary, several NW18 filters can be connected in series or parallel, increasing system efficiency in larger installations.
